Gusty landing tips..?

Both horizontal and vertical shear will cause a change in airspeed. Always report the fluctuations to tower.

Yeah I report when I think it's influential. I guess my question is if you report that plus or minus as windshear are you stating that the definition of windshear is what is causing the plane to gain speed thus creating an illusion in other pilots hearing the report that a sudden shift in velocity or direction is to be expected or, should we all just be reporting that we gained or losses 10 knots and therefore leaving the cause of that gain or loss less identified. In a light airplane that plus or minus could be caused by a few things, most likely a updraft, downdraft or something similar. I'm just curious if windshear is understood by all as being the same as plus or minus on approach. In my mind it is not but I wonder if that's true for everyone else.
