Marlin Firearms bought out by Sorosm

Just got this one. researched the authenticity, and it's true, it is an attack on our constitutional rights. snopes.com: Marlin Firearms Bought Out by George Soros

More scary stuff going on in our country!

Remember this when you vote in November.

2012 Disarming America.
Marlin Firearms bought out by Soros

Marlin Firearms is already closing its doors! They are doing it to us, America ! Even if you do not own a gun you need to know this. This needs to be spread to all gun owners and sportsman. We cannot rely on the media to inform us of these types of matters.

Something You May Not Know That Is Happening

Who is buying companies, manufacturing guns???
For the last several years a company called The Freedom Group
has been buying up gun and ammunition manufacturers. Some of the companies are Bushmaster, Marlin, Remington, DPMS, Dakota Arms and H&R. Some people worry that this Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States . If you control the manufacturers you can decide to stop selling to civilians.

What a perfect way to control guns. Now if you do some digging you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a company called Cerberus Capital Management. Guess who controls Cerberus??? GEORGE SOROS!!! He wants to restrict or ban all civilian guns.

Please pass this on to all your freedom loving friends. This needs to come out. Why have we not heard about this in the "mainstream" media? I would think this would be BIG news. (Soros also owns Progressive Insurance). If you don't
know who George Soros is, you need to do some Research. He backed Obama with millions of dollars and Obama is a puppet on a string controlled by Soros.

Send this to every gun owner in America .

PS.. George Soros is also buying Newspapers all over the USA . Another source of controlling the voices in the USA .

Newspapers??? Really? Take a look at the precipitous decline in newspaper readership over the last few years. This is more about acquiring valuable real estate in city centers than any attempt to control information.

I hope Soros goes broke by buying soon to be dead media sources.

My inner capitalist sees this as a great opportunity for an entrepreneur to start a new gun manufacturing company.

How many gun designs are no longer protected by patents? Simply pick a few designs and clone them.

DAMN! Just an old hoax. See http://www.nraila.org/223471

An old rumor has once again resurfaced alleging that Cerberus--the private equity firm that owns Freedom group, a holding company that in turn owns a number of firearms manufacturers, including Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster, and DPMS--is in some way tied to George Soros.

This rumor is completely false and baseless.

Just when I though I'd make millions with a CNC machine.

Wow! Even more interesting is that Soros has been listed in other media as the owner of Snopes.

??

Hey, we need those guns to stave off the invasion of UN Peacekeeping troops that will invade the country when Obama is reelected.

:yeahthat:

I also got an email that said the National Guard have already been issued blue helmets, and given instructions to give the UN troops any/all assistance they require.

Not sure if George Soros was involved in that or not. Probably. He's a good guy and very big in stuff like this.

Don't worry there are a lot of other gun companies in the world that are public (not that someone couldn't perform a hostile takeover), and many foreign firms that make guns and sell in the U.S. I doubt even Soros can buy them all.

Guns aren't difficult to manufacture. One goes away, another can be started to take its place.

I'm not worried who owns Marlin. I'm just more worried about the lack of quality of newer Marlin firearms. They, along with Remington, have completely turned to crap.

Yes

My NEW 870 express had some issues. I had to polish the barrel to get it to accept normal target rounds. I was told that was normal.

God, I'm so glad I don't participate in the spin zone if this and the recent "how to tell if you are a racist" are examples of what's posted there.

Life is to short folks.

The vast majority of the guns I own aren't made in the USA anyway. Neither is the ammunition.

Nothing Marlin makes has me thinking "gee, I need one of those!".

Mine are. (I like using my Kimber to beat the guys shooting Anshutz rifles)

So is my ammunition, except for the competition .22LR ammo that I use.

(well, most of the brass for my .303 Savage I got from PVRI and Norma, but the rest is US-made).

This is why they call all y'all "Gun Nuts."

You only need to clone one gun, the AK-47, arguably the best combat rifle in the world, certainly the most prolific. For a pistol I would choose the Browning HiPower.

I love my Marlin .45-70, I think it beats the Winchester for lever action saddle gun.

I like the Reynold's Heavy Duty foil for my hats......what do other recommend?? :dunno:

Gold plated Copper Nickle with a palladium plated copper braid that I can either let drag on the ground for stealth or hook to a Marshal Tube amp wired to a parabolic antenna for beaming back and over modulating their equipment.

I prefer my Marlin 336C .30-.30 to the Winchester 94 due to the side ejection, and the ease of mounting a scope. It's a nice rifle.

Yep. Picked up a 1960-something 336 last year. It just looks and feels like a well made rifle. The brand new 336's feel like a heavy and Daisy BB gun, and have a cheaply made feeling to them.

Back in 1959, my mother bought a Winchester 94 for my father (at the time, her boyfriend) for Christmas. The local sporting goods store didn't carry it, so she took the subway to their other store in lower Manhattan, bought the gun, and took it (still in the box) back to The Bronx on the subway.

Can you imagine the panic that would cause today?

I have both versions of the 94, the old "out the top" ejection and an AE which lets you mount the scope TDC on the barrell. I prefer the "out the top" version, even with a scope offset, was the first gun i used a scope on, don't have to tilt my head to see through it :)

I've always wanted one of those. My Marlin is an oldie but goodie. It's the 336T model that was discontinued many years ago. I (with parents help) bought it in 1970 and soon thereafter mounted a Weaver 2.5 scope on it. It shoots as well today as it did in 1970!

It is a "Brave new World"...
In the middle 1950's we would take our shotguns and rifles to school in the trunk of the car for the opening day of bird and deer season... We were allowed to leave school after first hour to go hunting on first day without being marked absent for the remainder of the day...
That morning before first bell, we would all be going from car to car looking at each others guns - and this included the Principal and Superintendent, who were going hunting also...
Can you imagine the stained shorts panic today if the school got a call that there are 50 or 60 armed boys in the parking lot!
I don't like this brave new world a bit...

Hasn't been that long, was that way in the mid-late 90's in Mississippi too. We all had gun racks, full, in the back windows of our trucks and went to school in camo.

One of the nicest shooting 9mms on the planet with the LEM trigger.

Not a fan. I had one for a while, way too many ejection port jams.

Then you got a bad one or there was something wrong with the BHP. I've had a MK III Hi Power since 1994 with no malfunctions, ever. I know many others that have the same experience. It is the best 9MM ever made for an all around pistol. It is the Grumman Tiger of hand guns. :D
