Does anyone have experience with these and how to get the axle out of the fork? The Grove site and manual just references the normal open end axle procedure and that's not going to work. Outboard fork has axle with grease filling, inboard fork has castle nut with cotter key and a through bolt. With all that apart it ain't budging.

What model amphibs?
The only Grove gear I'm familiar with are spring type and the axles bolt to it??
While they make an amphib wheel assy, the gear itself is usually part of the float assembly.

They are Clamar M2500 floats and their documentation doesn't really have any information either but I'm going to give them a call. I was just wondering if there was something simple I was missing.

UPDATE: I got a document from the float manufacturer on how to do this, it requires removing the inboard arm of the fork (which is actually a cradle)

UPDATE: For anyone interested I finally got this done and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The instructions were fine except the bolt on step 6 was put in the wrong way so it was not possible to remove it and so I had to take the whole thing apart and I mean the WHOLE thing. Same on the other float as well. I guess when they put these together they were inverted on a bench and it was all pretty simple so can't really fault the assembler other than he obviously didn't follow his checklist.

Anyway it's in the right way now so the next guy, who definitely ain't gonna be me, will have an easier time. I've filled my lifetime quota of Clamar float work (ha, ha)
