How long does ground school usually take to complete??? (Internet Base Vs Class Room)?

I completed my internet course in around 3 months.
You could do it in a week. Depends on discipline, etc.
Up to you.

A weekend maybe, probably took me eight hours to run through gliems crash course and got a 93 on the written. It depends on where you are though. I had been around pilots for a while so things came kinda quickly.

Ask 50 pilots this question and you're going to get 50 distinct answers.

Much depends on your learning style (books only, video only, combo, classroom with instructor) and how quickly you pick up the information.

For Part 61 instruction, most go with self study and can get through the basics of the material fairly quickly. But often, some concepts remain a bit fuzzy until you do the flight lesson with the instructor and fill in some of your blanks.

For Part 141 instruction, classroom ground school is part of the routine and is on a regular schedule between flight lessons.

All-in-all, this is not the part of learning to fly that you need to be concerned about. Just enjoy the learning of new knowledge and skills and git er done.

As Lars said above, it depends on the individual. Your goal is to learn the material, not just jump through a bunch of hoops.

I would suggest that you register with Gold Seal (www.OnlineGroundSchool.com). It is the only one that will let you take 1/3 of the course and use the full quizzing engine for free. Evaluate it and see if it fits your style. Plus, your CFI can join for free and monitor your progress through the lessons and the quizzes.

Another good resource available for free is this 70-page ebook: www.FreeFlyBook.com. It will answer just about any question you could possibly have about earning your wings.
