My corporate drug deal is with Medco. I have never really had to deal directly with them and my SO was normally the one who would order meds. But because of recent events I was in need of some drug refills. Normally she uses the mail in flyers but somehow the ones for my drugs were 'misplaced'.

Medco has an online way to order but the SO had gotten herself locked out of it about 8 months ago and now we needed in. The only way to get the account unlocked was to call tech support. So with a black cloud over my head I dialed the toll free number late last night. On the third ring a person, AN ACTUAL PERSON, answered the phone. She asked me a few questions and unlocked the phone. The person was in America too and spoke our version of English!

I was off the phone in 5 minutes and online ordering the drugs. Then another problem happened, we could not see the SOs refills. I looked everywhere to find them and finally got a listing of her prescription but no way to order them. So I called the toll free number, again with dread as this was going to be a tougher problem. I got through on the 3rd ring again to a live person who looked at the account and the announced that I needed to be transferred. SIGH!

The transfer started and on the 2nd ring was answered by yet another live human being!!! WOW! She looked at the account said the problem was that there was no profile loaded for the SO and she would do it or I could go online and do it myself. Not wanting to press my luck I opted to do it myself and 10 minutes later the two profiles were linked!!

It was way cool to get real live tech support help form competent people. I am sure that Medco will be bought up and destroyed in the name of some cost cutting, profit maximizing strategy so I should not ever hope to get this level of service again. But if any of your companies are looking for a drug program I can say that Medco is doing a good job of working with their individual members.

Might want to change that to Corporate Drug PLAN. LOL I started reading and the first word that came to mind was Cartel

We are tied in with Medco, here, too. The only problem I've had with them is the size of the bottle the send the meds in. Even on my 90 day BP, or Lipitor that would easily fit in the small orange bottle from your corner store, they use a bottle that you could put 90 horse pills in. It's inconvenient when traveling and you have to have a bottle that states what meds are in it if you ever get stopped by the TSA hounds.

I've had nothing but good experience with Medco also.

Walgreen's does the same to me when it's coming via mail. Just pull the label off the big bottle and put it on a smaller one. Or I sometimes just put the label on a baggie and carry them that way. You probably do have to have them labeled, but I don't think that it has to be the original container.

Both my wife's employer and mine use Medco. Other than the size of the bottles I'm perfectly happy with their service, as well. I get e-mails well in advance for refilling prescriptions. Click the link, confirm a few items, click and the refills are ordered. And they show up in about a week. It really doesn't get any easier than that.
