Great news out of Mexico.

That is not what I was expecting to hear after seeing the original photos. Great job getting everyone out, crew. Wow.

Same here. I saw the initial photos this afternoon and thought we were going to have a gut wrenching story, but instead I found out from a news update on Facebook that everyone made it out. Kudos to that flight crew.

Hence the thread headline. Sorry if it's misleading.

Videos is out... from the passengers perspective. Looks like they took off in a downpour, possibly a convective downpour.... Not pretty.

Oh, I just thought when I read the thread title that maybe Mexico had agreed to pay for the wall.

Either that or blue agave prices had dropped.

I always thought blue would be a nice color for a unicorn.

DURANGO, MEXICO—It began with a strong burst of wind and pounding hail that pummelled the Aeromexico jetliner minutes after takeoff in northern Mexico, then sent it smashing belly-down onto a field near the runway.
Frightened passengers scrambled to flee as flames and blinding black smoke erupted around them. Miraculously, all 103 on board survived the crash Tuesday.

Others suffered burns, some over a quarter of their bodies, said Durango state Health Ministry spokesman Fernando Ros.

Good lord...I guess some people never learn.

Press in Mexico is claiming the pilots were heroes
I guess Aeromexico is heavily investing in PR

The Pilots Association even made a press release stating that due to this accident the government needs to verify Flight Schools and General Aviation...

Yet people high fiving online at the delta fligt that did the Tokyo drift quick turn out of SJU in the middle of Maria. Americans are not immune from wiping their rear with ADM.
