I'd like to start off by apologizing. It doesn't have new plane smell, the gear are dangerous because they move up and down, it doesn't have an AoA indicator, the tail is angled back instead of forward, the nose gear is on the wrong side of the plane and it for dang sure don't have a parachute. :)

Closed and picked her up on Wednesday. I've only flow it twice, took it straight to the avionics shop to repair/calibrate the HSI and HDG mode on the autopilot. All is repaired, have it tucked in a hangar and not so patiently waiting on the wx to improve to get it in the air. There was a request in an earlier post about the buying process for pictures. So, here they are...

Plus, I notice it is a low wing.

A good pre-buy would have discovered those flaws and saved you the embarrassment.

That's the most beautiful airplane I've seen in a while. Dead sexy. Good for you, man!

Congrats... Welcome to twin ownership... Don't pay any attention to those "you shoulda bought a" post...:nono: Oh yeah, welcome to the 310 club... They Rock... Now go fly the wings off that sucker...:goofy:

That's a sweet looking bird. Nice panel and interior to boot. Did the fuel truck come with it?

Sweeeeeeeet...congrats

It doesn't say Pilatus on the side though o_O

jk, congrats man!! 310 is one helluva ride, and yours looks incredible. So awesome!!

Nice. A plethora of magenta lines, too. What are the "INFLATE/DEFLATE" switches?

Kevin, look into an engine monitor and fuel totalizer. Makes life a heck of lot easier and worth every penny... Yeah, I'm spending your money...

They are just lights that indicate what the de-ice boots are doing. The actual switch is on the left (not in view in the pictures) in the switch/circuit breaker group. See the pic below. I just replaced the switch covers with fancy colored ones. Blue for all de-ice stuff. My OCD.

I agree with you. That is definitely on my short list of must have's in the near future. That and adding a G5 then I'll be set for a long while hopefully...except for getting ADS-B compliant.

Thanks everyone! I'll hopefully have some fun adventure pic's to share as time goes on.

Yeah, I'm trying to decide which lemonade combination I'm going with...:mad2: Not looking forward to the downtime...:no::no:

I wouldn't call it OCD. I'd call it a really nice touch. You aren't helping my airplane jealousy, though. :)

CONGRATS!!!!
What a great looking plane!!!

The prices on light twins are so attractive... it's like a siren song! Not that overhaul time would be fun!

Great looking plane.

What the heck is inflate/deflate? (light next to throttles)

Thank you! They are just lights that indicate what the de-ice boots are doing. I posted a pic of the boot switch above.

I agree, a large part of it is having the ratings and times to make insurance affordable as well. The hope is by the time I need to overhaul them Continental will have a two for one deal. ;)

My plane is there now getting a G5. Missed you by 2 days.
I got a quote from Avionics Place at RFD and waiting on JA's quote for the same thing. Let us know how it goes/how you like it. That is number one on my list of safety upgrades for the near future.

I picked JA over Avionics Place because they couldn't get me in until May. JA got me in immediately. Will let you know. So far so good.
