Congratulations. I still don’t understand why 10 hour orals are necessary. Any decent evaluator should be able to determine if you are competent in much less time than that.

Haha would make sense! My DPE definitely has long exams but, like I said thankfully not back to back questioning. I think he feels like since you are paying $800 you should get your money's worth and have him all day

They're not necessary. My CFI ride was done before lunch and that included a pause for a snack and waiting for fog to lift. DPEs seem to be harder than FSDO these days, too.

Congrats! Now the real learning begins. Just wait until you have your first "difficult" student.
