Got a cash-back credit card? Make free money.....

Might as well do it before the cash back stuff ends... or credit card companies lobby to make ship times for the mint extend to 4 weeks or more. :D

Not a bad idea, actually. I'm sure the banks will close the loophole posthaste, however. They're not in the business of losing money -- at least not intentionally.

There was a killer deal, years ago, where BoA would allow you to fund 7 day CD's with a credit card, no fees. One could cycle $40k of CD's through a 28 day billing cycle, on a card with a $10k limit (assuming your payments were recognized immediately; if you had a linked BoA checking account, it worked quite well).

Cheers,

-Andrew

Rather than payoff the credit card, do a balance transfer to a 0% interest card. Put the money in an interest bearing account and pay the minimum amount. When the 0% interest ends either pay it off or transfer to another 0% card.

Seems like this $1 coin "arbitrage" has been going on for 2+ years.
