Can I ask - what is done with regards to vibration isolation? It looks like some thin rubber in the clamp, but is that enough to sufficiently isolate the camera?

Yes, it does isolate vibration. There are 3 neoprene washers on both the MyPilotPro Mount and MyPilotPro Swivel Mount. 2 of them "sandwich" the tie down ring and 1 between the aluminum mount itself and the GoPro attachment.
