Good wishes for tomorrow, Ghery

Tom,

Thanks. I have to be there at 5:30 AM. What's with these hospital people, anyway? That's when my dad had to be at the hospital for his cancer surgery last November, too. Well, his worked out well, so... Heck, the CFI I did my club annual review with on Tuesday has gone through this, too. 2 or 3 days and I should be back home. See you all then.

Gosh, I must have missed something. Ghery, are you having surgery? If so, please let us know how you are doing.

Good luck Ghery, My mother-in law had some outpatient surgery a couple days ago. You guessed it she had to be there at 0500.

Prostate cancer. Caught it EARLY. Should be in the hospital 2 or 3 days, then home from the office for 3 weeks. 180 days from today I can apply to have my medical reinstated.

Thanks for all the good thought. See you all in a few days.

Good Luck and good thoughts Ghery!

(we are still haveing was too many of these threads, what's the problem?!?!)

Wow Ghery, sorry to hear you're having to go through this. :(

I hope you have a speedy recovery. Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

Well, I'm home. I don't recommend this as a way to spend a weekend. I appreciate all the wishes. I'll be home for a couple weeks at least, and working from hom will be a bit more of a chllange than I had planned, but that's my bosses problem.

I'll be back on later. Lying on my back makes this "fun". Thanks agaon.

Yay! Glad to hear you're (on your) back!:D Take care of yourself and DON'T PUSH IT! The body needs time to heal!

Glad to hear your back Ghery. Also glad you caught it early! I'm sure you'll be back in the saddle VERY SOON.

Well, getting in and out of bed is getting easier, but I still haven't managed it without my wife's help. I've had the work laptop fired up once, glanced through the e-mail, handled a number of meeting invitations and replied to one message. That's it for work for today. More tomorrow.

I should hear the results from the pathologist in the next few days. If I don't get a call from the surgeon, I see him on Thursday to have the staples removed. Cathiter comes out next week. My bed is sure a lot more comfortable than the hospital bed. And I sleep better without all the interruptions.

I appreciate your concerns and thoughts. Even if we've never met face to face it is great having a group of people pulling for you. We have a wonderful group here.

Glad you're back, Ghery! Hope the rest of the news continues to be good

Darnit Ghery, I just saw the post. Glad you came out of it ok, and of course I am crossing my fingers for good luck. I hope and hope and hope that you'll be back in the air in 180days without a care in the world.

Be well. Rest well. Get well soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Dad just went through (what I understand to be) the same procedure last month. This month he is at the state senior olympic games - softball and swimming. You'll be up and around in no time :cheerswine:

Thanks for the update Ghery...sounds like you're on the mend and improving daily.

Here's hoping that you get a good report. :fcross: :)
