I’m going to need tools for our new TN digs.

I saw this deal at the Home Depot in Lenoir City for $99...

I sprang for it. Like I said, seemed like a good deal for a pretty complete starter set.

Good find, I'll keep that in mind for a house warming gift for my niece and nephew when they settle in.

Just looked it up online. That is a good price and the drawers have cut outs for the tools. I bought a similar deal at Lowe's for the same price but it had a plastic tool box...hmm...not that I need more tools but you can never have too many!

Thanks for sharing!

Housewarming, wedding, you name it. Tools are great.

I still have tools and use them that we got at our wedding many moons ago. I have no idea where the other crap went. The Kitchenaid mixer is still here too, but I consider than an industrial kitchen tool. :)

I have my father's craftsman ratchet, 80 years at least and works better than the junk they sell today.

Some of my old stuff is good, some is crap.

But garage sales in rich neighborhoods where lots of divorces happen are great way to get entire mechanic’s toolsets for next to nothing when she’s “selling all that bastard’s **** before he gets home from his little trip with his secretary!”

If you need a lot of tools really fast... that is. :)

Reason you go to the rich neighborhoods is when you see the multiple rolling Snap-On boxes and everything from the truck he could buy, and the guy has NEVER used any of it in a real mechanic job ever, and his soon-to-be-ex says $1000 and you haul it away today...

Hahahah.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought one for my son.

Along those lines, I picked these toolboxes up at a local pawn/consignment/eBay store for $200:

Thought it was a decent deal.

I have never seen any good deals at pawn shops....seems like their is another type of scam they are running and aren’t interested in selling merchandise.

I was thinking of craftsman stuff. Nice thought on watching divorce type ads

Don’t trade it in. If it breaks, ask for the repair kit. If no repair kit, send it to me.

To add to your essential tool collection, after the wedding give her an air compressor on the first anniversary. That then solves the birthday, Christmas and anniversary gift problem for several years to come...air tools. :ihih:
