A note from the pilot's handbook reads:
"If the engine quits in instrument conditions (blind flying when you can't see the ground) or at night, the pilot should pull the control column full aft (it won't stall) and keep the wings level. The leading-edge slats will snap out at about 40mph (64km/h), and when the airplane slows to a forward speed of about 25mph [40km/h], the airplane will sink at about a parachute descent rate until the aircraft hits the ground."

There is (was, dont know if he still is or not) that does that in ohio. The local radio station gave a prize away last year that was 'screw "over" your ex' where you won a mile high prize with your current significant other while the pilot circled your ex's house!

Yea, it has foot holes built into the side of the plane for use as a ladder so you can climb to fill the fuel tanks in the upper wings

Anatov. I've seen those things take off. I can ride a bicycle faster. Might be able to walk faster. Wouldn't worry much about an engine out, really. Could land one of those in most folks front yards.

Sex over your ex was through a heli operator, I'm fairly sure Flamingo air still does the mile high flights in their Cherokee Six

Hmmm yes... I should do this to my Apache... granted I wouldn't be able to take any passengers once the weight of the interior is calculated...

Easy to calculate, it's 1 gal/min or, in calm winds, 1 gal/mile
 
Its Shvetsov ASh-62 engine has a specific fuel consumption of 0.77 lb/(hp*hr). That's more than 1.5 times a comparable P&W engine with 0.49 lb/(hp*hr).

We've been approached about airplane rides in the 310 for fund raising. The problem has always been that it's not exotic enough to command sufficient charges to make it worthwhile.
 
Flamingos! I like it! ;)

Other problem is the rear two seats are profoundly uncomfortable, so you won't find people paying to sit there.
