Video of my ex-777-captain friend, now flying gliders in Colorado. Video was made by the 16-year-old son (one of the younger club members). The tow pilot is the kid's dad. Video from both the tow plane and the glider.

 
Nice video. Kelly Airpark is not that far from where I live and I took an intro glider ride from the Black Forest Soaring Society a number of years ago. Here is their site. I was wondering if any of the glider pilots could comment on their aircraft available and their prices in case I might want to learn. I don't know anything about which gliders might be better than others and what is normal with respect to cost.

those fees look about right. the club initiation fee is a little high but a necessary evil I suppose. The Low (2-33), Medium (L-23) and High (ASK-21) performance trainers. All will teach you something but I would say the best all around (price and performance) would be the L-23 Super Blanik. Although it may be worth it for you to take a flight in all three to see which you like best and then go with that one.
