They aren't. Geico has the highest rates I've seen around here, followed by all the other leaders.
Don't forget: lies sell.
The top 3 "cheapest" insurance companies that "guarantee" to save me money tend to quote me 4x what I am paying now. *shrug*

The question was semi rhetorical. I'm always suspicious of a company that heavily advertises. In Geico's case I just didn't know what the catch was.
Yeah don't let them fool you. Geico is very high and as far as I'm concerned, one of the worst insurance companies out there. Liberty Mutual is pretty high too and they've out-priced themselves for me, but they were a decent company.
