For Sale Garmin 396good condition, but battery is dead!

I’m cleaning out my closet and I have a 396 in good shape, works fine when plugged in, but the battery will not charge. It would be a good backup for someone willing to buy a battery. I know I’m supposed to put a price, so $200.00. PM me with any interest or offer. I’m in Atlanta. Thanks

Please be more clear. The 396 has 2 batteries. An internal battery soldered to the circuit board and a much larger battery, which is removable and can easily be replaced.
Which battery is bad? They both could be bad, eh?
The unit needs both batteries to navigate, unless it is plugged into the AC adapter.

I’m not 100% sure, when it’s plugged in it is working and has the previous flights stored, but it doesn’t show any charge and shuts off when power is removed. Is there a way to tell if the internal battery is bad?

The unit will work just fine with the dead internal battery....
If the buyer wants that replaced it can be done in 15 minutes....
I used to sell tons of 196, 296, 396 and 496 units so I know them well.
If the internal battery is dead and you are a long distance from the last place it was used it takes a bit longer to find itself. That’s it.....
