A gentleman came to the farm on business a few days ago. When he was done with his project I took him for his fist aerobatic ride. He's 6'6" and it took awhile to figure out parachutes and seat cushions.

He took these pictures and video clips with his little camera; some of them while we were doing aerobatics. I was impressed with the video quality. He put a few video clips (from his camera) on YouTube...here they are:

He also got a slip on landing:

He said that the camera is a Canon SX100is. We may get one like that next time we buy a new camera.

Chip, you missed out on Tom's grilled hamburgers. ;)

Pretty cool!

That's a really nice looking Citabria STUNT plane. ;)

Side note: Those beans are REALLY green! I bet we're getting close to 50% of beans being out up here already.

With a GIRL PILOT, no less!

So, Diana, on which runway shall I land in the Bo, when I come visit?

Diana you should have given him a REAL thrill and did a Hammerhead likeChip did with me(LOL). Anyway nice pics. and i'm sure he enjoyed it .

Yea, I noticed that. He actually flies RC's and does aerobatics with them, so he did have some knowledge of some of the maneuvers. He was a lot of fun.

They ARE a pretty green, aren't they. A lot of them are all brown and gray and some are ready to harvest. The guy who farms our land usually gets his crops in way after everyone else does. You can see the milo next to our lake on the take-off video. Don't know when he will harvest that. I hope he plants winter wheat again...it's so pretty and green in the winter time...kinda cheery.

Spike, Runway 3/21 would work great for your Bo. When are you coming? :goofy:

Wow, 6'6". And I thought I was a tight fit at 6'2"!
Yea, I wondered how tall you were. Dean's pretty tall too.

He really did like it. That made it more fun for me. :)

Nice landing Diana. Your passenger is good with the camera.
Thanks Brook. He started the landing video as we were already slipping. I stopped the slip before getting to the wires and slipped it again right over the runway. The runway's kinda rough so it looked like we were bouncing a lot.

I was surprised at how well he did with the camera while doing aerobatics, especially since it was his first ride. He's a professional photographer, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Some snappy flying there, lady... fun clips! B)
:) It certainly wouldn't score well at a contest, but I made somebody happy with it that day and that's what's really important, to me anyway.

This weekend Tom's ground school students from the university are coming to the farm to go flying with us. We're looking forward to that.

I was thinking the same thing, I am just a little under 6'3" and my head is touching the headliner. Diana must have taken the seat out and made him sit on the floor.
:D

:D We certainly had to work at it! :D Finally, I gave him my backpack parachute and took out both seat cushions in the back seat. We were even going to find a different headset that was flatter on top if we still couldn't get him in there comfortably. Where there's a will, there's a way. :D

Those are very cool. That's fun fly'in. Sharing it with others.

For a minute there I thought you did both of those rolls to the left. If so, the rubber band now has two wind-ups and will require two to the right to get it untwisted. Do you let it sit in the hangar like that?

Yea, the poor Citabria. Maybe I should go up tomorrow and straighten her out. ;) :D

So you didn't have to open the sunroof for him then... :)

Nice flying and thanks for posting them.

Not this time, but that's an interesting idea! :D

Thanks! I need to find a new cameraman for shooting aerobatics from inside the plane. My husband won't be doing it anymore and I don't think Tim Winters will be volunteering anytime soon. ;)

Welcome to the forum, Monk. :)
