Free flights get big money for small airports

I see the moron bus stopped by the comment section and allowed people the use of a computer.
 
Four years ago, costs forced my son's school to cancel the annual 8th grade trip to Washington. Needless to say, we were disappointed.
I admire their pluck at getting their numbers, but it is sad that their kids get free trips to Washington, our nation's capitol, when our students do not get to go.

Of course I also frequent that airport in my Chief, so I get far better sightseeing tours -- especially on warm days.

It's still contrary to the stated objectives of the program.

The same logic pays people subsidies to 'breed' horses, even if their 'agricultural operation' consists of a 10.1acre lot with a McMansion and they never ever sell a horse for profit.
 
No different than what other companies & political jurisdictions do to suck on the government money teat. While it may not be the intent of the law, it's legal. Or are you suggesting that this is civil fraud?
