A couple days ago I'd purchased ForeFlight's brand new Synthetic Vision add-on, so when the rain finally stopped I took to the skies, eager to give it a try.

$25/yr over the pro price. Situational awareness looks to be worth every penny to me.
 
Has anyone done a FF vs WingX SV comparison yet?
 
That was a good video. I'd sure like to see what the landing picture would look like with a Stratus installed.

It improves your situational awareness significantly. And remains buttery smooth, at least on my iPad Air.
 
Does it just look directly ahead or can you rotate the view ?
 
I use Garmin pilot, the SV on that app is *excellent*.

They did a nice job on SV, although it's still not available on their red-haired stepchild Android version. They also have implemented the IAP overlay feature which is one of the best features of FF (and FlyQ EFB.)

Have or have not? I can't find any overlay feature in the IOS version of GP.
