Foreflight help

Foreflight question.
How do you change the buttons on the sidebar in the map view, where you have airport names, airspace, terrain, road...etc...also there is a record button as well.
For the life of me I cannot find the menu where I can customize to add and delete unwanted buttons...

Are you talking about the items in this red box?



If yes, they are activated/deactivated by turning on/off the "Aeronautical" layer of the map.



but I don't recall any "customize" ability to add/remove buttons in this space.

You can hide the record and scribble button via a switch in the Settings tab.

Fabio, Foreflight has really good customer service, just send them a note with a question they get back really fast usually.

While the scribble Annotations layer on the maps does work, I find you need to use the Apple Pencil for it not to look like a 3-year old’s oversized crayon art project.

Using your forefinger to draw on the Charts works fine because you have more control of the line attributes, and it scales properly when you zoom in and out. Unfortunately this level of “good behavior” isn’t yet on the Maps page.

At least to a point where it would be a regular part of how I use FF.

There are. And the videos on their blog and YT channel are also very helpful in learning the features.

I think something is not right in my pro plus subscription...
I don’t have that option in my setting menu...

I did ...but still no pencil.
I think I have the latest update 11.4.1

Some are selectable some not. The record and pencil are selectable in More...Settings. For example, here's the map annotations pencil toggle.

All is good now, all I needed to do was to upgrade my iPad iOS to the newer version and now I got my pencil....thanks for all the help.
