Sounds like you had a blast ... as you should! Even after you earn that ticket feel free to tell approach or tower you are not familiar with the airspace if flying to a new place. For example, the only time I’ve heard a controller lecture a pilot here at Salt Lake was when they did something unexpected apparently not knowing what “Redwood Road” was. Each airspace has unique landmarks that may not be found in the A/FD and if unsure it’s better to ask. My only time flying to Las Vegas I just let approach know I was unfamiliar with the airspace and they walked me through it. Controllers will help you!
