Flying to Canada... for a man. Is it legal to bring him back?

So is Michigan... ;) We cross border on a regular basis and never have issues. Must be a regional thing. If they would have a hissy fit every single time a 'Michigan single plate only'-car crosses the border, they would not last long... :D
