Flying for lunch!

This upcoming Saturday, the 8th is my girlfriend Jamie's birthday.
I was thinking if the weather is nice, we could fly and eat some lunch.
I am based at KPTS, i have been to Bolivar, MO and we enjoyed it, I have also flown into Grand Lake regional but never ate there, but i was wondering if anyone on here (Diana, Chip?) would know of somewhere else that is relatively close where i could take her.

You might want to call Miami County before you fly up there. Haven't been there in a while. Used to have great BBQ.

Beaumont might be better with the 182 and your grandpa the first time you go there. It's worth the trip.

I have driven by Beaumont it looks really neat.
Never heard of Miami county but i will check it out.

Hutchinson KS has a restaurant on the field, It is were the whole town goes for a good steak. Nice place.

We flew in there and had to wait 45 min. to be seated on a Friday night.

We went today to Grand Lake Regional, and had a great flight there. Winds were out of the North so I got to do the approach over the water which was great. We ate at Ozzies, it is a little burger joint 2 miles down the road. All in all it was a great trip, we had a blast.

What a great day for you. I am so glad you had a great flight and I bet your girl friend really enjoyed it. I am glad it worked out. Let us know when the next trip is.
