Flip Flop Button

My four years old KX 125 has a comm flip flop that I have to push twice to get it ‘flip’…
Any thoughts if this will eventually fail and require repairs? Please chime in and share your experience/knowledge. Thanks in advance.

(I bought it brand new from Spruce, 4 years ago.)

Maybe it just wants you to be sure you want to flip.

If it always takes 2 presses make sure your button is a momentarily contact type and NOT an on/off button.
The on/off type will have you press once for contact and press again for disconnect.

I've heard a number of people talk about using an electrical contact cleaner spray as a remedy.
