Flight Planning for a Winter Flight

When Flight Planning for an Early Morning Winter Cross Country Flight, where do you go to look at weather and what procedure do you use to spot possible adverse conditions such as ice?

I also like to review the VAF wx page. http://www.vansairforce.net/weather.htm. Plenty of good info to look over.

I look at the wx for each airport and along the route on wx underground. I look up wx reports and TAF for available airports along the way, also taking advantage of DUATS, Skew T's.
