Flew my plane home today

The 1957 172 I bought a few weeks ago made it home today. Flew from KAID via KDLZ and on to KMPG to stop for fuel, then over W05 to 58M home.

Total flight time about 5 hours. My instructor and I had to fly around some weather but all in all the plane is fantastic. The longer we flew the less he could believe how good it was. Im excited
 
Awesome! DLZ is where I first started to train. Went to college in that town too. WX was tough for much of the day today in central Ohio. Glad to hear you made it thru. A pic of your new bird would be nice.
 
We were low and we took off around 12:45. We had to steer around some of it between PA and WV.

We are getting some nasty storms right now. Glad you beat the bad stuff.
 
Thanks! In the flight planning I saw we had a very specific window. We made the window and caught only some rain. A lot looked like it had some serious potential. Felt that way by the updraft too

Weather dependent I may take it to KOXB and grab some food nearby tomorrow
