I use a (now defunct) Nitecore MT22C. It was one of the few with a physical dial for variable output. The USB-rechargeable 18650 battery is a bonus -- thing has never run out on me, and I suck at charging my doodads. It's great at being dim in the cockpit for night flight, and also throwing crazy light for night preflight. Forgetting to dim it in the cockpit and geting 1000 lumens in the face is not great. I turn it on now pointed at my feet first.
