last week, a few hours after completing my checkride, i flew my first 135 flight as PIC. my boss was along as that customer requires two pilots. today i did a trip on my own. it was boringly normal, which was good. took a county deputy over to Burlington to pick up a prisoner who had a court date. everyone was well behaved, although bumps on the way back caused some uneasiness, running the AC at full blast kept everyone cool and comfortable without serious groundspeed sacrifices of climbing higher. Landings were good, and most importantly, I had no issues starting the engines!!

Cheers, Tony. I was jealous when you passed the ride, but now I'm more jealouser.

Pretty exciting, to say the least.

Getting paid to fly. What a great concept! Keep having fun.

i thought solo meant you had to be the only live one on board.... :dunno:

har har steve.

how bout 'first 135 flight without another 135 pilot' :)

So you basically flew your first one pilot 135 trip and it was "Conair" as well. I suppose it isnt much different then flying with Uhl. That would be way funnier if he was on here to see it.

Tony, just curious... how far was this and how expensive was the trip? Was it one-way or round-trip?

it was in state. we made two round trips at about 350 statute miles each that day. i only did one of them as I had a lab i had to get to in the evening. airplane charges at 2.68 a mile.

yea adam, having "conair" in the logbook will always bring back the memory :)
