And it is a $&%# blizzard outside right now! Our 12th snow of the season. I am in shock. I am applying to FEMA for assistance. I moved to a county that touches Mexico to escape this!

Raining here like a cow peeing on a flat rock. Garage cleaning may be today's big event.

the snow has slowed down and maybe stopped in Wichita

It's 20* and snowing right now at my house too. HUH??? My plants outside are very confused........... and it's supposed to be 78* on Monday.
Jekyl and Hyde weather - Hope it's winter's last gasp !

High of 74 and sunny today, 75 tomorrow. Had the top down every morning this week and when I head out shortly the top will be down for sure.

Let's see...on Wednesday I flew FTG to ANK (Denver to Salida) and it was sunny, mid-70s, little or no wind, just plain gorgeous.

Friday? Barely made it to 30, non-stop snow and wind, and the dog went outside more than I did.

Welcome to Colorado.

it was (finally) a nearly perfect day to fly in New England.

ah bin watchin him all morning. Actually he has a plan, a good one. And he told me about it about 2 days ago! I am going to start subscribing to SpikeWeather.com I think.

Wow this world must be getting more messed up, when the good weather is here in New England.

Absolutely beautiful day in central PA, getting up to some solo time tomorrow, hopefully I'll beat the rain showers...I have a feeling they'll come later in the day anyway...

Tomorrow will be my first time solo to another airport and back!

Snowing pretty hard now in north Dallas! A bit like sex: don't know how long it'll last or how deep it will be.

Best,

Dave

I picked a heck of a time to visit the family at Keller, TX. Poor Tom is getting it worse back home at the farm, though.

Went up to the mountain property today - beautiful blue sky & short sleeves. Daffodils blooming in the yard, and the Hyacinths should be in bloom tomorrow.

After a long winter, this is a nice start to Spring.

First day of Spring
4hrs Tach Time on the Tow Plane
26 Tows completed
Morning north winds, Ridge Lift..
Then Convergence Zone...
then Afternoon Thermals..

No one landed off airport.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Beautiful weather for me this weekend. Flew down to North Carolina Friday, yesterday up to Orange County and Syracuse NY, then home. Not a could anywhere to be seen on the whole trip...

We drove home from Mustang Island, Texas, yesterday in that friggin' blizzard. Got home at midnight last night (this morning?), after driving from Oklahome City.

There were hundreds of accidents up and down I-35. Visibility was near zero for 500 miles. To say it was harrowing would be an understatement. Hopefully that's the last of it.

We had a beautiful spring day yesterday. I even flew to a local on-field restaurant with some neighbors.

Now it is cool and rainy...gotta love spring in Georgia! LOL

Well, someone at our house enjoyed the snow today!

Best,

Dave

I like that strategy; fly and stop just before the line of weather, let it pass over you, then continue.

We did that en route to Gaston's last year. Beat a super fast storm (with purple radar returns) into Knoxville, got lunch, waited for it to pass, got back in the plane and made it to 3M0.

I like that strategy too - works great, unless (of course) the "line" of weather becomes a spinning clump of weather and sorta sticks around, as well as bringing 45-50 knot winds with it.

Which is why I drove CJane and Tommy to Shreveport today in the Natchitoches crew car, and sent them home in a one-way Hertz rental, and I am back in Natchitoches in a hotel room. It was just too fool windy to fly with them in the plane, and snow/ice/sleet - Louisiana in March?!? Plane looked just fine right there in the hangar, where it is.

Should get home tomorrow, no problem. I'll just be a little late to work is all.
