This guy probably had to sleep on the couch for a couple of nights, but man would that be worth it.

"But, honey. I did that to teach you a lesson because I love you too much to lose you. It's how you know I care."

Yeah, I've never had any luck with that approach... I always get, "No, you're not allowed to touch me now!"

Yes, firearms are very serious things and should always be taken seriously. But let's not be so quick to jump all over this one. If you didn't notice, they were in a residential back yard - chances are he didn't even have ammo out there to be loaded into the gun. I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he knew no actual danger existed before doing this.
Responses like the last two are exactly the reason why I was hesitant to post this here. They dampen what was otherwise a very funny joke.
I guess Richard and I have seen far too many supposed 'safe and funny' jokes with firearms go wrong and end up with people getting killed.Responses like the last two are exactly the reason why I was hesitant to post this here. They dampen what was otherwise a very funny joke.

funny, but it doesn't matter if there is ammo in the gun, you always treat it like its loaded, even if you know its not.
I'm in complete agreement IF those steps have been taken. I will not afford the benefit of the doubt when it comes to firearms. If I remove the magazine, pull the slide and see an empty chamber, the weapon is empty. It is a piece of steel, just like my hammer. Common sense, gentlemen.
