New here.

Buying an Astore (2020, G3X) in SC that will need to be ferried to Bend, Oregon in the not too distant future. Not 100% sure about insurance requirements for ferry pilot (working it) but wanted to see if there was interest. A CFI who could help with transition training would be icing on the cake.

Not sure if there’s a better place to post, so….

Feel free to DM.

Sounds like a cool XC trip. Hopefully the flight would take place in the prime flying season, not in the dead of winter. I've made 8 flights all the way across the country. Four of those flights were in my Maule, two were in a Piper Archer and two were in a Grumman Traveler. All were great trips with unexpected adventures along the way. I have no time in Rotax powered LSA's, and am not a good candidate for the ferry pilot role, but it would be GREAT if you could participate in the trip. Long XC trips in small planes are magnificent learning adventures and build life long memories. Any chance of you getting your insurance time requirements in the plane at the point of purchase and then doing the ferry flight yourself?

I really want to do it - And I'd love to sit down and plan it out - But I'm pretty sure that after the first few hours I'd be regretting it. That's a long time to sit in a small airplane. Should probably be about a 2.5 day trip.
