Sadly, KBOS hasn't done anything to increase runway capacity. In fact, over the past few decades, we've lost runway capacity.

they've shortened runways (remember when the FAA required runway overruns be added to the ends of runways? - well the idiots did it by shortening the runways.. AFTER they had modified the runways for highspeed turn offs - think that one through...)

they've allowed construction (outside of the airport) that prevented a runway from being built (which would have usable by smaller aircraft instead of taking up runway capacity on the long runways)
