It has been a ruff week news wise. Lots of things to think about. Listen to the video, get your groove on (yes, I did just say that.)

This thread is to talk about what we are gonna do this weekend! Its late August! Its hot, and flying time is at a premium! Get out there and burn some gas!

I'm playing golf Sat for a cancer benefit deal and will be participating in a helo golf ball drop. Buy a ball with a recorded number for $5 and the help takes the balls up and drops them at 500'. Closest one to the pin splits the pot! Too much fun!

What are you all doing this weekend?

What are you all doing this weekend?

Sleeping late Saturday morning, waiting for this http://www.hh100.org/ to finish up, since one of the race routes goes right past my airport (which is also one of the rest stops for the bike race). This makes it next to impossible for cars to drive to the airport while the race is underway in the morning hours. I do need to get out there sometime after lunchtime when the roads open back up, and clean the caked-on bugs off my RV-6 which hasn't been cleaned since I came back from Oshkosh

On Sunday I need to borrow my friend's Toro Groundsmaster 52" commercial mower and mow almost 4 acres of ankle-high, now-crispy & dried grass & weeds in my front, side, and back yards. Probably will end up seeing at least 2 or 3 rattlesnakes while mowing in this summer heat. If they can manage to outrun the mower, they get to live.

Just back from a short flight. The local airport has an open house Sunday, I'll be there.

That song sounds like maybe my college days, and nights.

I'll be on a short cross country in the Luscombe, before it gets too hot. Weather permitting, of course. We've had rain or lingering low ceilings every Saturday for a month now. Time for a change. lol

Burying a loved one's ashes on the family farm.

Too hot here. Must get up to 8000' immediately and cool off :)

On Saturday I will attempt to build an HTPC out of a Raspberry Pi. Early Sunday, weather permitting, I have the second of two check out flights in the Piper Archer of the club I just joined.

No flying for me. I'm doing something far more dangerous. Bicycling. Just got an road bicycle my bro wasn't using. Gonna tear up the streets and dodge texting mofos. If I don't live through the weekend avenge my death.

I might take a friend up for a quick discovery flight but other than that, nothing to do. I'm actually supposed to be on a king air flight to Colorado but was booted from that last minute. So it goes!

Good for you! I'm waiting for cooler weather to break out my road bike. It's been a couple years since I've done any serious riding. Cost me a net gain of 20 lbs.

Saturday: Pick up boat. Go to airport, top off plane with "cheap" fuel.
Sunday: Go boating!

I'll be working on the punchline to "a duck and the faa chief counsel walk into a bar...".

6PC and I both took the day off. Our son starts elementary school on Monday, so we took both the kids to the big water park around here. Fun day, but exhausting. Kids had a blast though. Not too much else planned for the weekend -looking forward to sleeping in, drinking coffee from a mug and not a travel cup (for some reason, it just tastes better out of a mug), and getting the house picked up.

Did a football pre season game tonight ,going to fly Sunday for sure.

Taking the ferry from Puttgarden Germany to Rodby Denmark. Driving the crap out of my rental Mercedes, now nic-named "Borrowed Horse". Delivering a trunk load of Hooch to my ever thirsty relatives and watching the fun.

Tomorrow we are gonna fill up an empty R&R jug with tea so its the same color, tie some fishing line to it, and fish for drunk people in front of the pilot house. I'll probably do 12-16 hours of flying this weekend too.

took friday off to golf with a buddy, saturday gotta look for new tires for the altima. pretty boring, I know.

Hit the woods scouting for deer and duck. Hunting season starts next month.

I'm off today, back to Wyoming tomorrow...3rd week in a row - poor plane is just sitting in hangar...

And I bought sneakers. Woo. Hoo.

However, things just took a turn for the better!
