Really? Tell me more. And 2 to 8 is incorrect for FX.
so....do ya have to smell smoke to open the doors and deploy the slides? What if fuel is gushing out an engine? ....and there is an impending fire hazard?
does a fuel leak warrant an unsafe condition to evacuate?Airlines have their procedures and they are required to be proven and then approved by the FAA. Evacuation would be accomplished on the opposite side of the plane in a fire situation or any other unsafe situation on one side of an airliner.

how about a running leak?....on the bogey?....near the brakes?Yes, based upon the location of the leak, in free air, such as wing upper or lower surface, in partially ventilated compartment, such as rear spar flap area, in non ventilated compartment, such as front spar to fixed leading edge area. And based upon size/amount of leakage over a specific time period, determined to be a stain, a seep, a drip, running leak, etc. Mx manuals have the allowable leakage spelled out.
Ask me again after I retire.Really? Tell me more.
Are you flying a Hajj charter with individuals in the back cooking on hibachis, and you smell jet fuel in the cabin? No, that's normal. Still no, after there's a known fire.does a fuel leak warrant an unsafe condition to evacuate?

negative.....they rolled dice....and won. There are other times where that doesn't work out so well. The Qantas 32.... major fuel leak near the wheels. Brakes at 900C. Kept everyone on board. Safer to foam I guess.
