So yeah, I knew better... but when you only have an hour or so of free time between after work and dark, you do what you can. Erected 3 walls of my 10x16 garden shed over the last couple of nights. Yesterday afternoon mother nature rearranged them and laid them flat. Oh well, nothing broken, just put all the pieces in order and load up the nail gun again.

I know, I know ...

Is this a stick built shed or one of the Rubbermaid jobs?

I may have one of these on my wish list, but there are nicer alternatives and I'd have to drive to Indiana to buy one: http://www.rubbermaid.com/rubbermaid/frameworks/jhtml/index.jhtml

stick built, from scratch. ... We priced out a number of the sheds around here - Ted's Sheds, Tuff Sheds, Heartland, et al ... for what I wanted, the price was $2500 and up for them to build on my site. I estimated less than $1000 for materials, so am building my own. Now I just have to wrangle in some more free hours in my day, or put up some lights first.

fwiw - I really wanted to stick build my 8x12 shed (I love doing that stuff), but
the need arose to get it built quickly. The shed guys had it done by lunchtime.
(it was about 2 weeks after I ordered it)

There's no kind of fail quite so good as Epic fail!

After this weekend, you'll have two hours between after work and dark. :D

Yeah yeah yeah ... I know ... my wife's told me that numerous times. :mad3:  my need to have it quickly popped up about 3 years ago - I've procrastinated this long, what's another week or so? :D

Is the sheathing on already? I dealt with some winds on my guest/garage thing and if it was just studs, the wind whistled through.
Then I put ply on the corners first to add strength, with only limited increase in wind load. Then the upper floor made it solid and I could sheath it all without wind concerns (up to 40kts).

Greg, if you're gonna fail, fail big I always say.

:D

You need to build a shear wall for the winds in CO, especially Arvada.
