Well it would eliminate the resistance of a closed throttle on the intake stroke which is what gives you engine breaking in a normal car when you're going down hill but at the same time it's introducing more air into the cylinder that would need to be compressed on the next cycle so I'm thinking it might just be a wash. I was thinking how much easier it is to pull the rope on your weedwhacker when you hold the throttle wide open but that's a two stroke.I can't see any advantage to having the throttle wide open...
