hi yall just wanted to be able to talk with someone else who had to make emergency landing as I did. you can look it up on, plane lands on hwy 555 in ky , kinda shook me up doing a lot better now though, still waiting on repairs on airplane so I can fly it again, there was no damage to airplane or anyone during landing, engine repairs in progresss now, thanks bob

Congrats on handling the emergency ,without injury or major damage. Welcome to the board.

I lost my engine on a flight last July, out of DXR.
It was a non-event. Glided 6 miles or so to 44N, touched down on the numbers.
Then I had to push the plane uphill to get it parked. :mad2:

did u ever get to meet that woman driver? nice job flying the airplane!

my wife has chatted with her on facebook since the incident, thanks

Once, lost engine shortly after takeoff in a PA-28. Cleared the wires at the end of runway, just, Landed in field which now has a u-store-it on it. Nose wheel dug in and plane flipped over on it's back. I had to bend metal to exit.

Any apparent cause of engine failure yet?
Are you going to be based at KDCM?

problem looks to have been stuck valves from carbon buildup I will be based at KDCM

Look me up when you get there - AA5B in Hangar 2.

Had a emergincy landing once due to a stuck valve, engine kept of running but didn't make near enough power to maintain altitude.

Good job!

wrbix ok thanks butch told me there was another tiger on the field I will be in hanger 10 when I get my plane to chester

Good job! I know how you feel. Never been in an emergency landing situation yet but I identify as someone who has.

I watched the video - you did a great job. If something like that every happens to me I hope I can do as good as you did. Your training and skills paid off.

Makes no sense but sure...:dunno:

I believe this is a reference to the Spokane NAACP gal who was white, claiming to be black, then when she was proven to be lying, saying she "identifies" as black.

Don't let this incident deter you from flying. It happened, its over, no harm other than a new pair of undies.
