eCig on Airline?

Completely agree, and that is what is so funny about the eCig bans. The gubmint can't figure out how to make money on it, so they ban it to keep people smoking.

Tobacco policy in this country is so laughable. You can understand everything about our government and our country by studying our tobacco policy.

The eCig isn't bad. You have to draw really long and hard to get the burn of a normal cigarette, and the taste is just a little off, but it seems to do the trick nicely.

And its kind of fun.

So...is the tip actually HOT? Is that water vapor as in "steam"? From the video, it just looks like the tip is lighting up (like a flashlight) not, getting hot -- but I suppose it must get hot in order to makes the water vaporize?

Seems like a great, socially acceptable solution to a nagging problem. At our motels, we face this problem all the time (people smoking where they shouldn't), and these gadgets might save a lot of grief...

The tip doesn't get hot. I can't explain it (because I don't know what causes it), but half of the sensation of smoking is feeling the smoke burn as it enters your lungs.

This still does that, which gives the same sensation of tobacco use. I assume its just warmth from the atomizer heating up the glycol.

The end that lights up is an LED. The last 2/3rd of the ecig is a battery.
The mouthpiece holds flavored liquid. About a 1" section between the mouthpiece and the battery is the vaporizer that heats the liquid creating steam.

The bigger issues are related to taxes. New York and I think New Jersey have passed legislation to ban them in order to keep taxes flowing in from tobacco sales.

Ha under that theory they could ban quitting or the Nicotine gum actually I wonder if they banned the use or sale of them. Big difference.

Actually if you think about it there is a ton of irony if that is actually the case.

1) States sue big Tobacco because Tobacco drives up health costs
2)States put some verdict money into programs to help folks quit
3) States ban use or sale of eCig which could help folks quit or at the least reduce some of the ill effects of smoking so they can keep taxes flowing.

Somewhere I thought I read that smokers actually end up costing the government less because they die sooner.

But I could be wrong. It happened once before.

I get that. I meant the lung burn.

No wonder why the airlines have banned it. The place would smell like a strip bar.

Wonder if it comes in mullet scent?

So - just in case anyone is considering the blucigs:

Don't do it.

In just over 3 days, between Brianna and I, we went through 3 atomzers, 1 battery, and more than 3/4s of the nicotine cartridges that were supposed to last 3 weeks. The atomizers are supposed to last like 6months to a year without needing replacement.

They come with a 30 day money back guarantee, which we're taking advantage of. They offered to replace the parts for free (except the carts), but honestly, in 3 days, that many problems is not indicative of quality.

So we instead went to the mall and bought the Joye 510s. They taste more like cigarettes, they produce more vapor and the tip glows orange like a real cigarette. Most important is the taste, and the "throat hit" that makes it feel better. They're more expensive, but they're also much higher quality. The juice is slightly cheaper, so in the long run, I think it'll work out to be cheaper anyway.

How fast were you using them? I know if you "smoke" them too fast they fail rather quickly.

I'm a pretty heavy smoker, so quite fast. The length of the carts doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the failing of the atomizers within one weekend of purchase. That just screams cheesy.

I'm much happier with the Joye instead.

Understand. Perhaps using it too fast was what was toasting the atomizer.

The Joye's user manual says:
Do not inhale continuously or for a long period. Do not pull too heavy or too fast or too many times in a short period of time. This will have a negative effect on the cigarette function
Always pull slowly (3 to 5 times pulling) and let the atomizer rest in between for at least 3 minutes. Over consuming your E-cigarette will lead to malfunctions. I f you whish to inhale more or more frequently it is advised to use 2 sets of E-cigarettes at the alternatively.

I'm not sure what "3 to 5 times pulling" means. Perhaps they meant seconds. The manual isn't written very well.
