Don't snort the dead guy.... or the cats

Well hey if Keith Richards can snort his dead father's ashes why the heck can't a couple of low lifes snort fido?

He denies that story. Great autobiography, Life, if you haven't read it yet. He's a very very interesting guy. I really enjoyed the book.

Weird as he is quoted as saying that:

“The strangest thing I’ve tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father,” Richards was quoted as saying by British music magazine NME.
“He was cremated, and I couldn’t resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn’t have cared,” he said, adding that “it went down pretty well, and I’m still alive.”http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/17933669/ns/today-entertainment/

And here is video of him saying it and calling the story true

I will have to pull out the book and check what he says. MBR is being painted at the moment, but I should be able to find it later today.

IIRC, in the book he claims it was a mistake, something like some of the ashes spilled while he was cutting up his stuff, so he went ahead and snorted it anyway, but he didn't actually set out to snort him. I'll post more when I dig up the book.

Yup. They were an interesting group of guys. I was watching the 100 most shocking moments in rock & roll history and The Stones occupied more slots than any other band. I wasn't aware that they were so crazy. I guess looking at them now, it shows.

Ah ok. I think that is what the video sort of insinuates as well. But I think it is clear that he admits to snorting his dad's ashes.

My objection addresses intent, Your Honor.

I am willing to stipulate that some of his father's ashes did get hoovered up by Keef's nose.
