Dang. Big dog!
That's about the size of the bear that walked into the theatre on me Saturday when I had the door open. Well, it looked like a bear at first glance but it turned out to be a really big black dog which didn't lower the immediate risk factor by much. He turned out to be a big harmless teddy bear of a dog so all was well.

Final Approach
Mastiffs are the biggest lap dogs I've ever been around. As menacing as they look I have never met one that wasn't as friendly as could be.
As it says in that article, as with Bulldogs, the only reason the breed didn't go extinct was because the dogs were so lovable that people kept the lines going long after the mission they were bred for was gone.
