Diet Pepsi

This is me. And I second what "ettsn" had to say. Both parents are Atlanta natives. Coke or nothing, although I have gone Diet; Zero is better.

Long live sweet tea!

P.S.--I'd rather go thirsty than drink a Pepsi.

Agree, Pepsi is rancid horse water.

I tried Coke Zero one time at a Chili's because they were out of the regular Diet Coke. It was so sweet I couldn't stand it. Yuck! Never again!

Haven't tried the new Diet Pepsi though, at least I don't think so.

Perhaps they mistakenly gave you the full monty Coke.

Give me whiskey when I'm thisty, water when I'm dry. Coke beats Pepsi but I wouldn't miss either if they disappeared.

I'll have Diet Coke outside home when needing caffeine, but mostly it's because no restaurant over here has the common sense to sell Tab. At home, I'm 100% a Tab-totaler.

Diet Coke & Diet Pepsi are awful mixers. Coke Zero is fine with rum-based drinks but doesn't work with whiskey or brandy. Tab is the only one that goes with all three. My daily 'devils drink' of choice is Courvoisier & Tab.

If you go outside North America, Tab is still ubiquitous in bars and you can even get Tab on fountain in some places. Sigh.

Well, I guess in a place that think it's a good idea to use corn syrup instead of sugar cane...

I didn't even know Tab was still around.

Once in a very great while I can go for an RC. But I have to really want sugar.

I haven't seen Tab or RC cola for decades. Do you guys shop in antique stores, or what?

Here is Ohio, RC is in all the bigger grocery chains. TAB I have seen from time to time but it is beyond my generation. :D

I used to drink lots of diet soda (my favorite was Mountain Dew followed by Coke). I also had stomach ulcers. The ulcers went away when I quit drinking soda. The lactic and phosphoric acids found in soda do a number on your stomach, as well as your teeth.

Hy-Vee has RC here.

As for name brands, I prefer Coke Zero or Diet Coke but it's not a big deal to me. I can drink Sam's Choice and not really care.

I used to have a Coke machine in the game room that sold 8 oz glass bottles of Coke and Sprite. I don't drink regular soda often, but I'm telling you, an ice-cold glass bottle of Coca-Cola is a real treat on a hot summer day.

Fun fact as a (southeast US)coke guy Tab is one of the products we aren't allowed to take out of walmarts and grocery stores cause tab drinkers complain like crazy to corporate if they can't get it. We won't sell a single case for two days then some little old lady will buy the whole shelf out.

I switched to drinking plain selzter water years ago. I just don't like sweet drinks anymore especially diet soda. Yuck!

I have also (very recently) gone to drinking seltzer or other sparkling water. I have realized it is not the taste I enjoy, it's the carbonation. But I still drink the occasional diet soda.

Yuk and yuk. There is no point to seltzer unless you want to throw some scotch in it.

I will trump all of you. For two years we have used the Soda Stream machine. Got one at home and one at the hangar. To hell with the soda manufacturers.

I use it primarily to make my own diet tonic water. On these sultry August island evenings there is nothing , NOTHING better than Bombay Sapphire gin in fresh made tonic with a squeeze of just-picked lime.
