.....back in the frozen north. DA at Lake Hood in the heat of the day today? -3200'. No complaints, that's up a couple thousand feet from yesterday. Brrr.

Nothing like not being able to get the mix rich enough. Better that way than the other way around, right? ;)

That's some thick air right there.

Several years ago I got a -6500 DA at Fairbanks. The temperature was around -62F. (not wind chill) So instead of flying I stayed on the ground trying to keep my pickups front and rear differential fluids from freezing.

It was so cold I could cut glass with my nipples....

Well, with wind chill it's about -30F around the Edmonton, AB area right now. I'll be ready to get back down South by the end of the week. It's a good thing the rental car has remote start!

Just shy of -1500 here, tis the season

I would love to see how the airplane performs in those conditions.

Dang, I am still wearing a light jacket down here in MS. I guess you guys would be in shorts and t-shirt.

Brrr. that sounds cold. I've been in Tampa for a couple days. it's bad here too.

We made it down to 3000 MSL DA overnight! Hehe. Little above that now.

Lovely day for flying around here if you don't mind preheating for a couple of hours.
