I'm not so sure he has his head on straight WRT aviation - If you look at it from the perspective of a non-aviator, he could just as easily have been pointing out the hypocrisy that's rampant in politics (see "Al 'Conservation' Gore and his $2,000/mo electric bill). It doesn't point out any of the positive qualities of using business jets.

Al Gore didn't get any government handouts, just the Nobel prize. He can do whatever he bloodly well wants. So can the countless American companies that have been driving the economy and acting in an intelligent fashion to remain profitable. But for the companies getting my money because they nearly took the economy with them on their way to going belly up; I'd like the see some %$%&!!%! austerity.
