Touchdown! Greaser!
Great experience Friday at Hagerstown Aircraft Services.
Had an AD on the plane that required compliance - FAA gave a 5 hour flying limit before compliance was required. Original AD required removal of an elevator rib for inspection within the elevator, AMOC allowed for use of a borescope for inspection and removal of the rib ONLY if a suspect area were found.
I worked with Tracey and Keith to set up a time to bring the plane in for the AMOC. I arrived at the appointed time 10 AM Friday, Keith promptly took the plane in and assigned staff to the inspection. While they were doing the inspection, I asked them to lube the cowl flap cables (stiff on way up), which was also done promptly. Inspection & lube was done by about 11:30 or so, it took a while longer to get the paperwork completed. By the time I got back from lunch, plane was ready to go.
Kudos to Keith for running a great shop and to Tracey & Keith for accomodating me!
