Daily Pic

Chocked up after some pattern work yesterday.

It's been 5 weeks since I flew, and I felt I might be rusty, so I took my CFI with. Yes, I was a little rusty.

It was COLD! Single digits outside, and the cabin heat kept it a comfortable 35-40 inside the airplane LOL.

Sent to me by my uncle the other day. Flying his RV in formation with my cousin in a Decathlon. My uncle flew F-4s and the 737-200 for People's Express way back when. My cousin got his certificate about 5 or 6 months ago.

Are you in Muskegon or Grand Haven?

These pictures were taken around the Port Sheldon Stacks just south of Grand haven, both on the same night. The building clouds were to the south running parallel to the second picture of that low front running inland from lake michigan.
 
this was a dual cross country/trip with my instructor to purchase a Cub...dual purpose flight. After departing SNS we changed our plan and flew up the coat and over the Golden Gate...As a student this was a exciting flight.

My instructor doing a little pattern work a few months ago...the sound and speed was unbelievable...fuel cost approx. $600 per hour.:yikes:

This was Sunday over Clearwater Beach, FL. Literally the most beautiful day we've had this year. Perfect weather.

I think he would take anyone for a ride that wanted to pay for fuel, I need to do it soon, I think it's for sale, he doesn't fly it very often because of the cost. Sure is a neat piece of history.
 
Enroute to Cozumel, MX last Saturday. My friends poked fun at me because this was my favorite part of the vacation:)

I've had a couple not-so-fun icing encounters in a non-FIKI airplane, so I was a bit surprised the other night to hear myself say, "Oh cool, I've got 3/4" of ice!" I suppose I was just happy to finally get to blow the boots...
