Here is a jet that passed right under me near SFO while I was cleared through the Bravo airspace there over the Pacific Ocean on my way to Monterey (Asiana Airlines I think):

First time this year with the hanger door open. What a mess as things get out of place through the cold winter. Now just about to get back to work!

No it is not a spec Miata, but it is my track day Miata!

It's a mock-plane for kids to sit in. The wings are folded down in the photo, but there are a few gauges, two yolks, proper seats and prop that can spin. Pretty slick actually, just not exactly air worthy.

Is that thing made out of a 150?

A friend snapped this just as we broke out on top of an overcast layer sunday morning. Hopefully I can get a higher res pic from him later

I took a trip yesterday to Georgetown, SC. An hour in the M20J. In Raleigh it was overcast, 10-15kts wind and 55 degrees. Flew through the cold front around the NC/SC border, down in georgetown it was 78 and sunny!

A couple of pics from this past weekend in North Florida.

This first picture comes from my normally sleepy little airport in Fernandina Beach, Florida (KFHB)

Are you part of the club based there or do you own your own 172? I'm in Jax and am always looking for fellow pilots!

Here's a picture I took while on a flight from Stewart( SWF) back home. That's the Hudson river.

First flight in two months! (I need to get out more)
Montauk, Long Island (KMTP)

Runway 24
On right downwind, I knew I was a little too close for the stiff wind (280@15G25).

Then I allowed myself to be blown across final:mad:. Not too happy about that but I managed to pull it together.

Overall, it was fun:)

Yes. And that large point sticking into the river lower left to upper right is West Point. You can see why the real estate was so valuable during the Revolutionary War. The field of cannon fire from the top of the ridge kept hostile ship traffic heading both north and south within range for a very long time....

So true Skip. I was shocked at how straight up the rock wall is. No chance of anyone ever climbing up that.

Also the pic is proof I avoided the restricted area over West Point too! ;)

Here are a few for you. Taken last Thursday in FL

Looks fast, but... real people fit in that?
I am 6 feet tall and that is about the limit. I wear a clarity aloft headset for comfort as I like it but a traditional headset would rub the canopy. I have been thrown into the canopy multiple times in turbulence. 2 men are too close for comfort possibly infringing on guy code but my girl is only about 5-0 & 100 lbs so we fit well. It is actually quite comfortable for hours as the seat is reclined like a lazy boy.

Awesome pictures. I'll try and post some of mine when I get home.

Ummm. Actually I've climbed that wall a number of times. But your inference is correct. No attacking force is going to make it up that wall alive if someone is shooting at them.
I've climbed all the cliffs on both sides of the river at one time or another.

Here are a few of my favorites, sorry couldn't figure out how to post them full sized.
The first is of my buddy's cherokee I flew to KRNO parked in front of an F-18 and F-5 from NAS Fallon's Top Gun.
The next 3 are a flight I took to my buddy's private air park in Utah.
The last 3 are from an airshow I took the fam to in NAS Fallon a couple years ago, the wife snapped a couple with good timing of the BA's. The 4 ship formation is a P-38 (Glacier Girl), P-51, F-22, and an A-10
