Wrapped up the Conditional with no surprises and only a couple needed new parts (emergency system air tank, new bushing for elevator trim tab).

Got switch panel put together for new internal/external lights installation.

Also got the cockpit LEDs installed in front cockpit (must have damaged a section though, need to make a small change to get it all to light up).

My mechanic brought a Smoking Airplanes 3.5 gallon tank, pump and needle valve removed from an RV-4 - looks like we'll install that this week.

Last mod is a freshly painted new spinner (no pics yet).

Dang, awesome pix. I've never heard of this fly-in, and 350+ airplanes? That's fantastic.

What's the airport identifier? Mary and I are starting to build "the Ultimate Cross-Country Flightplan" that will hit every major fly-in in the U.S. in one giant, months-long flight -- sounds like we will have to add this one!

Sorry for the late reply. 4S2 is the identifier. It was my first time going to this fly-in, and it looks like it's one of the biggest in the northwest. I'll be planning to attend all three days next year! Many drool worthy planes in attendance.

We were in Seattle, WA for some days and took the opportunity to go flying. Unfortunately there was a TFR over Seattle the day the weather was REALLY nice. :( We took the plane to the islands north of Seattle.

Dragon Island?

So this past Sunday on the last day of our vacation to Hawaii, my wife and I took a little trip over to Maui Flight Academy. We flew with Laurence, and we did the Maui/Molokai flight. It was a bit of cloudy day, but the views were still amazing, especially for someone that lives and has only flown in the midwest. Laurence acted as kind of an instructor and tour guide while we were flying, describing some of the history of the areas we were flying past. The flight was a bit bumpy which the wife did not enjoy, but for the most part wasn't too bad.

It was my first time in something nicer than a 70's era C172. Also my first time flying behind glass. It was a little pricey, but not outrageously so to my knowledge (no SR22's for rent in the St. Louis area so I don't have personal experience with the prices)

This is the tallest waterfall in the world coming off the sea cliffs on the northern coast of Molokai
Edit: Curious so I checked this, apparently this is not accurate, tallest in the world is in Venezuela at over 3,000 ft and the tallest in the U.S. is Yosemite falls at about 2,400 ft. This is #9 on the world's tallest list.

Trying the links from Google Photos, so don't know if these are actually going to show up... it's not working in the preview so I may have to come back and fix them later.

Edit: got them working.
Edit 2: Shrank the 1st and 3rd pictures down a bit per exNCsurfer's suggestion :)

Fredbob711, FYI, with google photos, you can resize these in your browser prior to copying the url to set the size you want, or you can edit the URL, at the end of the URL you'll see something like: w1663-h935
Just change those numbers, you can just leave one axis too and set either w or h to some number.

for example, tiny version of your last photo(width 400):

Switzerland?

Close. I'm in meetings in Stresa, Italy. On the shores of Lake Maggiore. The lakes goes up into Switzerland. This guy came flying by earlier in the week.

A couple shots of the lake and the last is the hotel where the meetings are being held and we're staying. Nice resort area.

Did a short cross country today. FRG-ACY-ISP. Solid IMC the entire way. We dropped the plane back at Islip to be hangared because of the incoming storm and my student's dad gave me a ride back to FRG in a Bell 407! He let me fly it most of the way there up until the landing. Props to you helicopter guys. I don't know how you do it. Here is a link to my first helicopter ride. https://www.facebook.com/jordan.elguera/videos/10153570822570726/?l=5384736346571116430

Following up from yesterday's mod work post, prop spinner backplate and prop mounted, also completed my first multi-chain wiring harness today - circuits tested good and got it mostly installed, should be done on Sunday. Feeling more proud of that than I probably should but a nice production quality harness.
