This is my hangar owner's new ride. I'm jealous.

HighJackers is still at XFL and a great restaurant. If you ever land there take a walk behind the restaurant by the t-hangers and see our helicopter. We love to show it off. A red white and blue Astar.

I'll make a point to do that!

Is there anything more fun than frolicking around in some towering cumulonimbi for a while? The pax didn't think there is...

That's about when I inform any PAX about the gallon ziplock bags is the seatback pockets.

Flew the Hudson River Exclusion with my wife today in a Tecnam P-92. Stayed at 900 feet for most of the trip. Very quiet. We were the only fixed wing plane in the Corridor and only encountered 2 helicopters on the entire flight. One helicopter pilot was in shock that we were in a light sport.

I couldn't resist including this shot of the TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Hgts, NY. I was a computer scientist\physicist here for most of my 37 years with IBM. we flew over on the way to the Hudson River.

The George Washington Bridge towards the end of rush hour.

The Statue of Liberty.

The iconic New York City skyline.

Small world, I use to work for IBM in New York. I left both after 911. I know that traffic too well.

Flying the corridor in a Light Sport made us something of a oddity. The helicopter pilots are used to heavier planes barreling through "their" airspace, disrupting their tours and making it hard to maintain clearance. Not to mention generating turbulence.
We were puttering along at 70-80 knots, about the speed of the choppers, making very little turbulence. It made life easy for the chopper pilots. One chopper asked if he could fly along side so his customers could take pictures of the little airplane. Unfortunately he was directly into the sun for us, so my pictures of him are just big bright blobs.

Scarlet 4 after some landing practice...

Crystal clear water near Palma di Mallorca. Flying around the Med is cool.

Nice!! What plane?

Thanks, just leveled off after climbing out of St Paul on our way to Florida in the Westwind.
Sorry it's not as sharp as I would have liked, got a little camera movement while taking the shot.

Here's another, going direct to HEVVN.

landing on 14.jpg

There's no place like home! Landing back at Northampton, Mass., after a beautiful flight to Westerly, R.I., on Saturday.

And how the heck do you make these photos bigger?

They were just in awe of my airplane, which is no joke parked about 25 yards in front of your nose there.

You're welcome!

Happy Father's Day to me.
