Cute Airplanes- Character Flaw?

Ok, I know what I want to have, and it is fast and has 540 or 550 in the engine type and the wheels hide from the wind.

So why is that, when I see planes like these, I just grin:

And I drool whenever I see a nice Stinson 108.

The simple fact is that you will need at least 4 or 5 different planes to really be happy with your options. Maybe a helicopter too!
