Filing Flight Plan
Thanks for all the thoughts.
A lot of these comments are all on my mind from one moment to the next, comfortable job sometimes, its nice, but... sometimes risks are worth taking, etc. Whether it is a tinge of mid-life crisis or just a sign of the times, i am definitely guided by a sense of "seize the day."
Which is why I recently got antsy and got officially signed up to start my part 61 private training. I was going to try to wait for better weather, more daylight, less mask wearing, etc. but i figure why wait, when i could get hurt at work, lose my medical, or get hit by a Amazon truck.
The instructor helping my with my IACRA, etc. Has an old 172 and a relative who is an A&P at a nearby small county airfield. He mentioned the idea of logging the hours and taking the test purely with experience logged. He made it sound simple, so it is good to hear the advice about calling FSDO, reading regs, etc. Definitely makes sense.
Now if i can just stop looking at planes, i might actually survive this thing...
